They’re little things you can do in your everyday life to improve your day — so a health hack is something you can do to improve your health. Recent health hacks include bulletproof coffee and high-intensity training. Here are some more, specifically aimed at helping people lose weight.

  1. Walk more:
Do things like park further away, avoid using the elevator, and take a quick walk whenever you have time during the day. It’s pretty well known that most Americans don’t walk enough, and these little tips will help you boost your step count throughout the day.
  2. Drink more water:
This is pretty simple. Though there are a lot of ideas about how much water people should drink a day, it’s important to listen to your body. If you’re thirsty, drink some cold water.
  3. Get better sleep:
Not more sleep — better sleep. If you’re frequently restless, try using blackout curtains or making sure the room is cool enough to sleep. If it takes you a while to fall asleep, try to develop a bedtime routine that you can start half an hour before sleep, and consider turning your phone off at night.

These tips can help improve your metabolism and burn calories, but they’re not the only things you should do in order to lose weight. They are, however, little things that can help you on the weight-loss journey, therefore — health hacks!
